Civil Discourse Alive and Well on ΒιΆΉΣ°ΤΊ State’s Campus

As we approach the 2020 presidential election, college campuses have become charged with energy from the differences throughout the student body. Channel 5 News asked ΒιΆΉΣ°ΤΊ State College Republicans, β€œwhat’s it like being a Republican on a college campus right now?”

As one ΒιΆΉΣ°ΤΊ State College Republican put it: β€œBelieve it or not, it’s really not as bad as it seems.”

β€œWe just really want people to have an opinion and be informed,” ΒιΆΉΣ°ΤΊ State College Republican Rachel Walker, public relations major, told Channel 5 News.

ΒιΆΉΣ°ΤΊ State's College Republicans said their most civilized debates are with what Channel 5 News calls "an unlikely group," the College Democrats.

β€œWe'll do debates. They're always super nice, super civil, so we actually get along very well with them,” Walker said.
